Stuart
Rosenberg asked me for my consulting services for his new
studio in Skokie, IL. The studio was designed by architects 2RZ,
along with Stuart. I supplied drawings for the floating walls
and ceiling details, and also supervised acoustic construction
and systems installations. The studio is all finished now and
I'll be posting images of the completed Long Dog soon. We
have already cut a variety of dates there including albums for
the artists "Listen
Up" and "Shakshuka".
Here's
the control room's floating double-wall framing details. To save
precious space the double walls were constructed out of
2"x2"s. You can see mic snakes and headphone ethernet cables pulled
through the framing. Almost ready for insulation & drywall!

wiring details include; phone lines, network ethernet, headphone
ethernet pairs , cable TV, video tie lines, mic lines, tie lines,
and also basic electrical service.
